Pink Ribbons Project's "Pink Power" program provides funding for mammograms, diagnostic work-ups, biopsies and other follow-up treatment for the medically underserved women in the greater Houston area.
Total amount allocated to support breast cancer awareness, treatment and education in the greater Houston area during 2011 is more than $460,000.
In 2011 alone, Pink Ribbons Project has impacted the community through the following:

Harris County Hospital District for the Pink Ribbons Project Saturday Mammography Program at Quentin Mease Community Hospital, People's Health Clinic and Aldine Clinic.

Harris County Hospital District’s Personal Experience Navigators (Pink PENs) program to offer support, hope and encouragement to patients who are newly diagnosed or in the midst of breast cancer treatment

UTMB (University of Texas Medical Branch), Mind, Body and Spirit Program –multidisciplinary program that provides breast health education, patient outreach and fellowship and venues for patients to explore various artistic pursuits and screening mammograms

the Rose Diagnostic Center, Pink Days Program, where and educational program using the arts promotes good health habits as well as direct breast health services.

MD Anderson for its Project VALET mammography and health education program

MD Anderson Cancer Center to continue providing patient handbooks to new breast cancer patients.

Baylor College of Medicine to create patient handbooks for new breast cancer patients at Ben Taub Hospital.
