Many thanks to our incredibly dedicated volunteers! We couldn't do it without you! If you are interested in volunteering for Tour de Pink, email Kate@pinkribbons.org with your availability and interest. Friday, September 17th Packet Pick-Up - volunteers needed to help anytime between 9:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bike Barn in Rice Village. Preferred shifts are: 9:45-noon, 11:45-2, 1:45-5, and 4:45-7. Saturday, September 18th Packet Pick-Up - volunteers needed to help anytime between 9:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Bike Barn in Rice Village. Pink Platter

The Rosemary Barr Pink Platter Program is a celebration held during the month of October, served up on beautiful and original platters designed by some of Houston's most talented visual artsts. Throughout the month, visit one or all of these fine establishments to see the resident Pink Platter and bid via silent auction on your favorites! The platter celebration will conclude on October 31st when all bids will be tallied after which the winners will be contacted. A $20 donation at any of the participating locations gets the donor a dessert plate - painted by breast cancer survivors, their families and friends - and a free dessert courtesy of the restaurant. All proceeds from Pink Platter will benefit Pink Ribbons Project's continued efforts to aid the medically underserved women of Houston with proper breast cancer screeninga and follow-up care. Drink Pink!

What is Drink Pink? What? Drink Pink! is an awareness program from Pink Ribbons Project. It is an opportunity for kids and families to spread breast cancer awareness through the summer fun of a lemonade stand. Where? Anywhere! You can choose where to set up your lemonade stand. Some good places are sporting events, community events, your front yard, and in front of businesses (but be sure to ask the owner first!) When? Anytime! Lemonade stands can be set up as many times as you want all summer starting June 1. Be sure to take pictures to enter our Drink Pink! contest. . Who? Anybody! This is a great event for the whole family. Why? Everyone needs to realize the importance of good health--at any age. How much? Free! Pink Ribbons Project will supply you with pink lemonade and breast cancer awareness materials. Pink Ribbons Project needs you to help us fill our summer gift bags!

Pink Ribbons Project is collecting items to put into gifts bags filled with spa items, lotions, sunglasses, scarves, sun screen, etc. for the patients who are screened at the

Harris County Hospital District Saturday Mammography Program.

Search your bathroom drawers and closets for all the hotel shampoos, lotions, soaps or sample products you receive from your spa, hair stylist, etc. Please take the time to search and donate them to making these wonderful bags.

Items can be delivered to Pink Ribbons Project Headquarters by June 1st

Pink Partners are committed to promoting and fostering the growth and community of the Pink Ribbons Project as it continues along a strong and abundant stage of development.

From 2005 – 2009, you rode many miles, you raised more than $1.6 million, and you helped many people. Here’s how… Since its inception in 2005, Tour de Pink has helped Pink Ribbons Project make a powerful impact within the Greater Houston Area through the efforts of dedicated riders, volunteers, sponsors and all those who pledge. Here are some of the highlights from the past 4 years: You got the wheels spinning for Tour de Pink, and we have helped many of our partners get rolling by helping to provide mobile mammography units out in the community to connect with patients where they live, work and socialize. In 2008, we shared equally with Komen Houston in the purchase of a mobile van for The Rose Diagnostic Center to transport their Sophie Mammography Unit throughout the Greater Houston Area, providing annual mammograms to thousands of women. The Giving Tree

For every $100 donation to "The Giving Tree", Pink Ribbons Project will donate a mammogram to someone in the Greater Houston Community who is medically-underserved and who, otherwise, could not afford a screening mammogram.

Through the Giving Tree program, you will be providing that life-saving mammogram.

Pink Ribbons Project's Pink Power program provides funding for mammograms, diagnostic work-ups, biopsies and other follow-up treatment for the medically underserved women in the greater Houston area. In 2009 alone , Pink Ribbons Project has impacted the community through the following: -$145,000 to The Rose for a new ultrasound machine that will help reduce the current six-week wait time for ultrasounds. -$99,000 for the third year to collaborate with Harris County Hospital District for the Pink Ribbons Project Saturday Mammography Program. In addition to the Quentin Mease Clinic (which we have supported for the past several years), Pink Ribbons Project is also partnering with HCHD for the Saturday mammography clinic at People's Clinic and Aldine Health Center. -$50,000 for the continued operation of the UTMB Mobile Mammography van, which Pink Ribbons Project initially sponsored after its services were halted post-Hurricane Ike in 2008. -$72,220 to the Rose Diagnostic...

Pink Ribbons Project was a proud Run for a Reason charity for the 2009 Chevron Houston Marathon. Participants who ran in honor of Pink Ribbons Project have raised almost $5,000.

Pink Ribbons Project was the proud beneficiary once again in 2009 for Jazzercise for the Cure Halftime Performance. This year, Jazzercise raised a groundbreaking $28,000. We cannot thank you enough for dancing your way to the top!

UNBEATABLE: A Bold New Musical started it's journey as a reading at Phoenix Theatre's New Works Festival in August, 2006. After some major changes, including welcoming the composers Todd Schroeder and Kevin Fisher, it was seen at Playhouse Square's Launch Series for an artist residency in June, 2007. From there it moved to New York's Barrow Group Theater during August, 2007 for a showcase that starred Jenn Colella (Broadway's High Fidelity, Urban Cowboy). After seeing the NYC showcase, Bristol Myers Squibb brought a one-act version of the show to Los Angeles (November, 2007) and Philadelphia (May, 2008) for an audience of 1,000+ medical professionals from all over the country.
