This donation encouraged contributions to HCHD by Susan G. Komen for the Cure Houston and the Baylor / Methodist Community Health Fund, completing the required funds for the purchase.  The Harris County Hospital District will use the mobile mammography unit to better reach the underserved women in the greater Houston area, providing breast cancer screening they might not otherwise have access to.
